Areas We Serve
Amaya Tree Service LLC travels out from Huntsville to work properties throughout Dodge, TX, a Walker County community bordering the Sam Houston National Forest.
Dodge sits just south of Huntsville on the edge of the Sam Houston National Forest, so most homes here back up to dense stands of loblolly pine and mixed hardwoods. That proximity to the forest means trees grow tall and close together, competing for light and often leaning toward the nearest clearing, which is usually a driveway or rooftop.
Because we're only a short drive from Dodge, we can turn around estimates and scheduled work quickly, and we're familiar with the tight forest-edge lots that make up most of the community.
Removing a tall loblolly pine in Dodge often means dropping it in sections since there's rarely a clear lane through the surrounding forest. We plan each cut around the neighboring trees property owners want left standing.

Dodge's forest-edge lots see falling limbs and leaning pines after any serious wind event, and because we're close by, we can usually get a crew out the same day to clear hazards from roofs, vehicles, and driveways.

Pines and oaks crowded at the forest edge in Dodge tend to grow lopsided, reaching for light on one side. We prune to correct that lean and clear branches away from rooflines before they become a storm risk.

Pine stumps left behind after removal in Dodge can attract pests if left untreated. We grind them below grade so the area is ready for grass, mulch, or new plantings without inviting termites or ants.

Opening up a building site or driveway near the forest edge in Dodge means clearing dense underbrush and volunteer pines. We do that carefully, leaving mature trees the property owner wants to keep.
